Story of CBI: ‘Caged Parrot’ turns wild beast on loose under BJP rule

April 22, New Delhi: After Supreme Court gave its nod to restore criminal conspiracy charges against BJP’s top leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and Kalyan Singh on CBI’s plea, the BJP leaders are leaving no stone unturned to malice and question the sanctity of India’s central investigating agency.

In a latest rhetoric BJP’s Vinay Katiyar said CBI is acting like a wild beast on loose under the present government.

CBI a wild beast on the loose under BJP: Katiyar

He rebuked CBI’s move to restore case against BJP’s top leaders and said, “Nobody conspired against it. But if there was somebody who conspired, it is the CBI. CBI has become a wild animal on the loose under the present dispensation. It is the CBI which is conspiring. When there was no case, why was it framed against us by the CBI, he also questioned.”

It is interesting to note here that in 2013, CBI was termed as a caged parrot and leaders of the ruling party are calling it wild beast on loose.

Is CBI a party to appease the ruling party or central investigation agency? Besides the case involving BJP leaders is 25 years old, and there was no reason for why the previous government would have caged CBI in this case.
