The BJP on Sunday unveiled its manifesto for the 2021 West Bengal assembly elections. Called ‘Sonar Bangla Sankalp Patra 2021’, the manifesto was released at the party HQ in Kolkata by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya and state party chief Dilip Ghosh.
Dilip Ghosh said the manifesto came together over the last month when party leaders travelled across Bengal and sought people’s suggestions.
We have always given the Sankalp Patra an important place in the scheme of things, Amit Shah said. He went on to say that Mamata Banerjee has delivered on merely three fronts over the last 10 years – politicisation of administration, criminalisation of politics and institutionalisation of corruption.
The Union Home Minister also said that West Bengal has turned into one of the most unsafe states for women. “Inaction for years has broken the dreams of the youth and has stopped the flow of employment. In the last 10 years, TMC’s ill-governance has started a dark chapter in Bengal’s history,” Amit Shah said.
