New Delhi, Dec 4: Expressing shock over Bulandshahr Violence, Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Tuesday hit out at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi that “Is this the change’ he had promised.

The former Union Minister attacked UP CM, saying  “Instead of taking care of his state Yogi is going to Telangana and spewing venom”.

“It’s a shocking state of affairs how a mob killed a police officer investigating the Akhlaq case. Who gives these people the authority to take law in their”, he told news agency ANI.

Earlier in a day, Sibal Tweeted “When : Mobsters in Bulandshahr shoot a policeman. Fake encounters are a daily phenomenon in UP while Yogi spreads venom in Telangana and Rajasthan. Trials are being openly subverted. A retired judge says ex-CJI was remote controlled Is this the ‘badlav’ you promised Modiji ?”.

Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh was shot in the head, while one of the young agitators was killed on Monday in a violence that broke out over the slaughter of 25 cows in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr.

Singh was attacked by the mob when he attempted to clear the traffic congestion caused by the protesters carrying the carcasses on tractor trolleys blocking a busy road.

The violence had triggered after alleged recovery of some animal carcasses that right-wing organisations claimed were of cows, an animal revered by the Hindus.
