Bulandshahr Violence: Kapil Sibal attacks UP Police over “skewed priorities”

Kapil Sibal

New Delhi, Dec 7: Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Friday targetted the Uttar Pradesh police for shifting their the focus of the investigation from nabbing the accused in Inspector Subhodh Kumar Singh’s death to solving the alleged cow slaughter case.

“Skewed priorities.. In Bulandshahr where a mob killed Inspector Subhodh Kumar Singh the Additional Superintendent of Police says ” Our main concern is to find out who killed those cows….”, Sibal tweeted.

The former Union Minister said “Lives of cows more precious than the lives of human beings. Desh badal raha hai”.

His tweet was in reference to Additional Superintendent of Police (Bulandshahr) Rayees Akhtar who told the Indian Express that “Our main concern at this moment is to find out who killed those cows.

“After all, it was the killing of the cows that led to the protest, which resulted in Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh’s murder. Our belief is that once we solve that case, it will throw light on how the murder occurred. The cow-killers are our top priority. The murder and rioting case is on the backburner for now”, Akhtar stated.
