Budget session starts from 29 Jan, Union Budget 2018 on 1 Feb

New Delhi, Jan 5: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar on Friday announced that the budget session would commence from 29 January to 6 April and Union budget to be presented on 1 February. 

President Ramnath Kovind will address the joint sitting of both Houses on January 29 and the Economic Survey will be tabled on the same day, Kumar said

The first part of the budget session will be held from 29 January to 9 February, while the second part of the session is scheduled to start from 5 March to 6 April.

This year’s Union Budget is the last full budget that finance minister Arun Jaitley will present before 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
