BSF soldier’s wife claims Tej Bahadur Yadav arrested, forced to retire

New Delhi, Feb 2, 2017: In a shocking revelation, BSF Jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav’s wife on Thursday revealed that her husband was forced to retire and arrested soon after he posted a series of videos to expose the hardships the soldiers face on the border.

A video by BSF jawan complaining of the quality of food served to troops had gone viral last month, triggering a controversy of reactions.

His wife, Sharmila Bahadur, further claimed that her husband called her up using someone else’s phone to tell her that he was being mentally tortured and his voluntary retirement had been canceled.

“Waited for him on 31st but he didn’t come. He called up to say that he was asked to retire. He further said that his retirement was also canceled within one hour and that he was later arrested. He managed to call up today using someone else’s phone, told me that he’s under arrest, being threatened and mentally tortured,” Bahadur’s wife told media.

After Bahadur’s wife claim, Border Security Forces (BSF) sources said that “Tej Bahadur Yadav has been found guilty and BSF is soon to take disciplinary action against him has been recommended, which is yet to be approved.”

Sources also refuted charges of Yadav’s wife that he has been arrested.
