Jammu, May 16: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir, the Border Security Forces (BSF) confirmed that five terrorists have sneaked into the Indian side.
BSF Director General K.K. Sharma, who arrived here on Tuesday, after a trooper was killed in firing by the Pakistani rangers in Samba district, confirmed that the successful infiltration bid took place on Monday, news agency IANS reported.
The BSF chief stated the militants had sneaked in through a tunnel. He informed media that a bigger infiltration bid aided by the Pakistani troops was, however, foiled by the security forces on the international border (IB) yesterday.
The Prime Minister is slated to attend several official functions during his one-day visit on Saturday.
