After the suspicious man arrested in Brussels, the city is on high alert and anti-terror operation underway at shopping centre, authorities say.
Police were notified of a “suspicious situation” earlier in the morning and an operation is ongoing, Belgian media report, citing a police spokesman.
Streets around the City 2 shopping centre have been closed off.
Bomb attacks on Brussels airport and the city’s metro killed 32 people in March and were claimed by the Islamic State group.
More details awaited.
