Bombay High Court asks Goa Chief Secretary to file affidavit on Parrikar’s health

Manhohar Parrikar

Panaji, Dec 6: The Goa Bench of the Bombay High Court asked Goa Chief Secretary to file an affidavit on the health status of chief minister Manohar Parrikar by December 7.

The Court will come up for hearing again on December 11.

The direction by Justice R.M. Borde follows a plea filed by former Goa Forward member Trajano D’Mello, who had sought to know the health status of Parrikar, who is suffering from pancreatic cancer and has not attended any official meeting or event outside his residence for over a month now.

The Chief Minister has been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, New York and Delhi for nearly nine months.

He returned from New Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences on October 14 and has not moved out of his house for any official function since.
