BJP national council meet, may redraw national security policy

Bhartiya Janata Party hold its meeting which will go on for three long days on Friday in Kozhikode, Kerala.

Senior leaders will hold the discussion to give shape to its party agenda as state elections are next year. The discussion will also include a master plan to deal with Pakistan following the Uri terror attack.

The national council meeting will be officiated by the BJP President Amit Shah. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to join the same on Friday evening in Kozhikode and will address the party leaders on Sunday. This will be the first time Modi will deliver and address after Uri incident.

Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s concept of ‘Antyodaya’ – helping the most poor – is what BJP marked as its idea and the themes of their thoughts. The implementation of GST and political strategies following assembly elections next year will also be discussed in the meeting.

This year on 25th September, it will be the 100th birthday anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhyay. PM Modi on the same occasion will start a year-long program to celebrate the birthday of Deen Dayal Upadhyay.

The garib kalyan agenda of the BJP is supposed to be articulated. The garib kalyan is for the benefit and progress of the Dalits and OBCs etc.

The party will work on a strategy for assembly elections in many states which will happen next year. Uttar Pradesh has kept BJP out of power for more than 14 years. Shah claimed that it will make a comeback this year in UP and with a majority.

The meeting will also focus on the violence committed against the BJP people and the karyakartas of RSS (BJP’s ideological mentor). Though the party leaders has blamed CPI (M) for the same.
