July 19 : Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Thursday lashed out at Modi led central government over the attachment of her brother Anand Kumar’s property in Noida and said when saffron party leaders become wealthy overnight, they consider justified but raids are carried out when Dalits become wealthy.

“BJP and RSS are casteists. They don’t want to see development of Dalits and other backward classes in education, business or any other field. They are using various ways to create problems for this but our party is working for development of these people,” Mayawati said.

“When members of their party or anyone related with them become wealthy overnight they consider it justified against us,however if someone from our community do well they have problems with it. It is then when they misuse govt machinery against us, which is condemnable,” Mayawati said.

” BJP should look at themselves, if they think they are very honest then they should investigate how much wealth they & their family had before coming into politics & how much it is now. So everything becomes clear before the country,” She said.

The income tax department on Wednesday attached Rs 400 crore worth of ‘benami’ property of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati’s brother, Anand and his wife.

Taking to Twitter, Mayawati claimed that the ruling party is “misusing” its power to implicate members of the opposition in false cases and torturing them.

Condemning the “torture” of her brother, Mayawati, however, said the party will not be bogged down by such acts.

Recalling a similar incident from 2003, the BSP chief claimed that the BJP had opposed the party. However, it was granted relief by the Supreme Court, she said.

Earlier today, the Income Tax Department attached seven acres of land in Noida belonging to Anand Kumar and his wife Vichiter Lata in a high-value properties case.
