Bihar won’t participate in International Yoga Day, Says CM Nitish Kumar

June 20, Tuesday: Taking a jibe at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janta Party, over the preparations of third International Yoga Day (IYD), Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar called the ruling party’s efforts as a ‘publicity stunt’.

Kumar said I am not against Yoga but I don’t like publicity stunts on this (IYD). I also do yoga but have never advertised it.”

He also announced that Bihar Government won’t in mega celebration to mark International Yoga Day, as we don’t believe in advertisements.

The government has made grand plans for the upcoming International Yoga Day.

The Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) has been working hard from months to make the International Yoga Day events to clinch worldwide success as they have also sent letters to different Ambassadors and Embassies urging to make the function successful.

Over, 74 ministers Union ministers are expected to take part in Yoga Day functions in 74 cities on June 21.

Prime Minister Modi would also participate in Yoga day function along with AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow.
