Legislators of RJD, JD(U) and RLSP, a constituent of the NDA, belonging to the SC/ST communities united to protest in the House.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said no one can take away the rights of those belonging to the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes nor can reservation be abolished.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday was told that the reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes may be acceptable at the initial stage of appointment but not for promotion as the reservation is for a class of people and not for the individuals in a cadre.
