Bihar Assembly polls: Mahagathbandhan releases list of candidates – Full list inside

The Mahagathbandhan including the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, Communist Party of India (ML)(L) and the Communist Party of India will be contesting for 243 seats of Bihar Assembly.

New Delhi: The Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) — Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India (ML)(L) — has released a list of 243 candidates for the upcoming elections in Bihar.

While the RJD will contest on 144 seats, the Congress will fight on 70; CPI (M-L) has been given 19, CPI (6), CPM (4). The Grand Alliance is being led by RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav.

The Central Election Committee of Congress has released a separate list of candidates for the second and third phases of elections to the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

Elections to the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in three phases — October 28, November 3, and 7. The counting of votes will take place on November 10.
