New Delhi: The Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) — Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India (ML)(L) — has released a list of 243 candidates for the upcoming elections in Bihar.
While the RJD will contest on 144 seats, the Congress will fight on 70; CPI (M-L) has been given 19, CPI (6), CPM (4). The Grand Alliance is being led by RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav.
The Central Election Committee of Congress has released a separate list of candidates for the second and third phases of elections to the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
Elections to the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in three phases — October 28, November 3, and 7. The counting of votes will take place on November 10.
