Bengaluru: Rahul Gandhi launches National Herald’s commemorative edition

June 12, Karnataka: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi launched the commemorative edition of National Herald in Bengaluru on Monday.

At the re-launch of National Herald, Gandhi spoke about his visit to Madhya Pradesh where authorities denied him to enter. He said the power of truth is being completely replaced by the truth of power. Anybody who tries to stand for truth is pushed aside.

He targeted government by saying , it is  forcing everyone into silence.

After the launch event Gandhi will attend  Karnataka state committee meeting to discuss  strategy for the forthcoming assembly elections.

Vice President Hamid Ansari and other Congress party’s top leaders also attended the launch event.

Congress leader yesterday tweeted that he was looking forward to being in Bengaluru on Monday for the release of the commemorative publication of National Herald- India at a Crossroads: 70 years of Independence.

The National Herald was established in 1938 by India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.

Last year, the newspaper made its comeback with a digital version.
