Chandigarh: Again the hierarchy of animalism appeared in the pages of crime in Capital city, where a 21 year old again became the victim of heinous crime and gang-raped by the same predators who raped her before three years.
It is said that a Dalit girl was sexually harassed again to “settle the previous case out of court”. But the shocking fact is that Rohtak police has arrested no one yet even after the two days of repeated crime.
As per victims’ family the same gang of men had assaulted the woman before three years in Bhiwani. Even after the malicious crime, the accused continued to roam freely all around and also threatened victims’s family to shift to Rohtak.
The student perusing master course of MD University in Rohtak, went college on Wednesday morning but did not return at her usual time. Later, she was found in unconscious state near Sukhpura Chowk on Wednesday night with her clothes torn, after which she was taken to Rohtak Civil Hospital.
Five youths – identified as Anil alias Bittu, Raju alias Jagmohan, Sandeep Singh, Mausam Kumar and Aakash – were booked for the crime at Rohtak city police station after girl’s complaint. Three of them belong to upper caste and two are dalits. All of them were studying in the same college earlier.
The rape survivor’s brother said among the five accused two were held in 2013. However, they were released out on bail. “We had filed a case in the court for the arrest of the remaining three and re-arrest of the two out on bail. We were getting constant threats from the accused to reach a compromise outside the court, but we remained firm. That’s why they have attacked her again,” he told the local media in Rohtak. He said four of the five accused hails from Bhiwani while one was from Rohtak.
In her statement to the police, the girl said she was kidnapped by the accused when she was standing at the college gate on Wednesday. They took her in their car and raped her, she told the police. The girl’s father is a charpoy-maker.
When contacted, in charge of crime against women and supervising officer in the case, DSP Pushpa Khatari stated that “We are investigating all aspects of the case, including previous incident. Medical report has not ruled out the possibility of crime and we are now waiting for the forensic reports before proceeding further. Police are conducting raids to nab the accused.”
