Bank Chor movie review: No humour, No laughter

New Delhi, June 17: Bank Chor is director Bumpy’s first film. The film has been marketed as a comedy but is actually an aspiring comic-thriller.

Champak (Riteish), Gulaab (Bhuvan Arora) and Genda (Vikram Thapa) are threerobbers trying to rob a bank.In the starting, the story is lame and the characters seems stupid. And the first 20 minutes of “Bank Chor” is clumsy and mis-directed that it looks like we are becoming April Fool by watching the film.

The screenplay and characters were full of laziness on the part of the writer. “Bhai, Deepak Tijori ne badi hichkiyaan aa rahi hogi.” This is the kind of humour Bank Chor offers.

When the story becomes as chaotic as the heist on screen, the actors come to the rescue. Riteish Deshmukh is a natural at playing the Marathi manoos so attached to his linguistic identity. It is sad to see him in the film because he is such a waste of talent. In the end only he is in his real avtaar.

If you watch “Bank Chor” then you need some time to get out of trauma of the movie.
