Almost at the start of every season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is tagged as one of the favourites to win the Indian Premier League title. However, the Virat Kohli-led side has never lived upto the expectations. And this year it is no different. RCB is yet again amongst the pre-tournament favourites to win the coveted trophy.
“Sunrisers Hyderabad is wary of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batting trio — Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers, as any of them could take the game away. We don’t have plans to restrict Kohli, who has been in an amazing form. If he, Gayle or AB de Villiers has a day out, that might be something not in our control. What is in our control is executing our plans well.,”
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad have played against each other six times. RCB leads the head to head record with three wins while two victories have gone in SRH’s kitty. RCB open their IPL 2016 campaign against strong looking Sunrisers Hyderabad at home. Led by David Warner, the Hyderabad side boasts of Shikhar Dhawan Eoin Morgan, Kane Williamson, Ashish Nehra and Mustafizur Rahman.
Both teams look strong and looks like it will be RCB versus SRH bowling. Bangladesh’s young sensation Mustafizur will make his IPL debut and he will be shouldering the responsibility with experienced Nehra. Leg-spinner Karn Sharma adds balance to the attack and Sunrisers will have services of fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar as well.
