New Delhi, Sep : 26 The Muslim parties in the Ram Babri Masjid Janma-bhoomi dispute case on Thursday said the authorship of the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) report on the disputed site in Ayodhya cannot be questioned.

The turnaround came a day after the Muslim parties questioned the report, especially its authorship, claiming that it was full of inconsistencies.

Putting forth his arguments on Thursday, their counsel Rajeev Dhavan said: “The authorship of the Archeological Survey of India report on Ayodhya cannot be questioned.”

Guru Nanak Jayanti also known as Gurpurab is an auspicious occasion for the followers of the religion of Sikhism. This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

This day is observed on the day of Kartik Poornima, which is the fifteenth lunar day in the month of Kartika according to the Hindu calendar. According to Gregorian calendar, this day falls in the month of November. This year it will be the 551st birth anniversary of Guru Nanak and will be celebrated on Monday, November 30.

History of Guru Nanak Jayanti:

Guru Nanak Jayanti is celebrated to commemorate and honor the life of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He was born in 1469 in Nankana Sahib, Punjab. It is said that his birth was a mark of divinity.

He was a firm believer in One God and he also had faith that an individual can connect to God through his prayers. He never followed the religion that made people do sacrifices. All the teaching of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is in the sacred book Guru Granth Sahib.

This day is celebrated for three days and two days prior to Guru Nanak Jayanti, prayer and Akhand Paths are conducted at the Gurudwaras.

A procession known as Nagarkirtan is organized. The procession is led by five men, referred to as the Panj Pyare, holding the Sikh triangular flag, Nishan Sahib.

The main day of Gurpurab begins with the morning hymns, that is followed by the prayers and kathas that are performed in the praise of the guru. Later, langar is followed by a night prayer session that is conducted at Gurudwaras.

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee would be announcing the NEET round 2 counselling result 2020 for seats under the 15% all India quota (AIQ) today. MBBS and BDS candidates would be able to check their result on the MCC official website at mcc.nic.in.

In order to check NEET counselling result and to download allotment results, candidates would have to use their roll number and date of birth as login credentials. Candidates selected in the second round would be required to report for admission at institutions between November 28 and December 8, 2020.

Mop-up round counselling results will be declared on December 17 and candidates would be able to take admission from December 18 to December 26, 2020.

How To Download NEET Allotment Letter

  • Go to the official website, mcc.nic.in
  • Then move to the UG Counselling section
  • Under the ‘Online Services’ section, click on Allotment letter
  • A login window will open
  • Select round, enter roll number, date of birth and security pin
  • Submit and download the allotment letter.

At the same time, The AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) yesterday began the registration for the first round of AYUSH counselling 2020. AACCC will hold AYUSH counselling for seats under the all India quota in three rounds.

Result of the first round is all set to be declared on December 4.

MiG-29K crashes in Arabian Sea, 1 pilot missing

Mumbai, Nov 27: A MiG-29K trainer aircraft operating from the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya in the Arabian Sea, ditched on Monday evening, officials said here on Friday.

One of the two pilots on board has been rescued while the other pilot is still missing.

A search operation by air and surface units is in progress to find the second pilot.

The government has ordered an inquiry into the incident which happened around 5 p.m. on Thursday and further details are awaited.
