Actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been admired for her dexterous acting skills, believes that Indian

masses is ready for both art including glamour in cinemas.”Today we have everything coming on the way and I feel that the credit has to be given to the audience.So I would like to admit that our audience is ready for that kind of cinema where you can give art along with a lot of glamour,” said Kangana, who is currently prepping up for the upcoming film “Rangoon” The other panelists were Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and film director Imtiaz Ali.Ali opinionated that “women have always been finer actors than men”.

Responding to Ali’s question on women giving a strong competition to men in the industry, Kangana

reacted that she soon realized that there was strong discrimination. “When I started out, I was open to wherever my life was took me as an actor but I realised that there was a strong discrimination. I am talking about almost 10 years ago as in there were actors, stars and superstars. Superstars weren’t actors and actors weren’t superstars…so there was a strong sense of  discrimination,” said Kangana, who made her debut in Bollywood in 2006.

The two-day event, which flagged off on Friday are led by 30 Global leaders comprising senior politicians,corporate heads, entrepreneurs, artists, eminent sports personalities, intellectuals, policy makers,economists, industry thought leaders and influencers from all walks of life; under one roof to discuss India’s future as the world’s bright spot.

Mumbai, July 6 : Actress Chahatt Khanna has got herself a new pet – a cat she has named Ruffle.

“My friend was trying to convince me to own a cat for a long time. She wasn”t in town and she asked me if I could go and see a cat for her. I went and I saw the kittens. They were so cute that I feel in love with them. I was supposed to foster the cat till she returns,” Chahatt said.

She said she got two kittens, one for herself and the other for her friend.

“It is now my partner in crime forever. I am head over heels in love with the cat. He is just adorable and he is mine. I can only thank my friend for pushing me for this,” Chahatt said.

Last month, Chahatt shared that she is boycotting all Chinese applications and has blamed China for triggering the global coronavirus pandemic.

Mumbai, July 6 : Mumbai Police on Monday recorded the statement of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali in connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

The director arrived at Bandra Police Station on Monday morning to give his statement.

As per reports, late actor Sushant was approached by Bhansali for his 2013 film “Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela”. However, Sushant could not take up the offer reportedly due to his contract with a production house. Later Ranveer Singh was signed for the role. The female lead was played by Deepika Padukone and the film turned out to be a superhit.

Meanwhile Mumbai Police has, over the past weeks, also recorded statements of Sushant’s family, staff, a few of his friends, and rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, besides filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra and actress Sanjana Sanghi who worked with the late actor in his upcoming last film “Dil Bechara”.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his Mumbai residence on June 14. The actor’s postmortem report stated his death was a suicide.

Within a few days of the actor’s death, a complaint was filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur. The case filed regarding the actor’s death was against eight Bollywood personalities including Bhansali, Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra and Ekta Kapoor.

Mumbai Police is investigating the death of the actor, though many fans on social media have been demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the case.

The film is a revenge saga set in Goa and, despite gruesome moments of violence, it has catchy tunes composed by multiple music directors.

Mohit Suri”s directorial “Malang” is all set to have a sequel, the makers have confirmed.

Disha will next be seen in “Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai”. The action drama starring Salman Khan was supposed to be his Eid release this year, but has got delayed owing to coronavirus pandemic.
