New Delhi,Sep 29: ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) has asked Audi India to suspend the production and sales of the Q5 because it was found to have higher emission levels than permitted.
The diesel trim of the Q5 was found to have higher Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) level than what is stipulated.
This was happening due to air getting trapped in the coolant system. The company seems to have solved the issue and the rectified version of the car will arrive at dealerships in some time.
In Pune, a new testing was done for 4 cars at the ARAI facility in which Audi officials have confirmed that the issue is resolved now.
However, the Company officials even claimed that this issue is not related to the global emissions scam whatsoever.
