Islamabad, Aug 6: In yet another attack on Hindu community in Pakistan, a 56-year old doctor was shot dead in Karachi, said reports on Friday.
“Pireetam Das was sitting in his clinic located in Hasrat Mohani Colony at midnight on Thursday when someone attacked him,” Akhtar Farooq, SSP Investigation said.
According to the police official when the doctor’s staff man had gone to buy a mobile card, the doctor was attacked in the Pak Colony area of the metropolis late Thursday.
“Hearing the gunshot, the assistant rushed to the clinic and found the doctor bleeding,” added Farooq.
SSP Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) did not take any valuables. Meanwhile, police is investigating the murder.
Earlier, two members of the Hindu community were among three people shot dead in an attack on a wine shop in the Abbas Town area of the metropolis.
