Ahmedabad, Oct 8: Reacting to the recent attack against migrants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in Gujarat, Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel on Wednesday said that the innocent people should not be treated like this.

Innocent people should not be treated like this, they are also Indians. If this starts in a region, then it will happen in another region too; Mumbai is an example. If someone commits a crime then the law should take its course”, he told ANI.

The Congress leader further said “If 1-2 persons have committed a crime, all the people should not be targeted. If they’re innocent, they should be protected.

“The State government should investigate the matter and find a solution”, he added.

Violence against migrants was reported after the alleged rape of a toddler on September 28 in Sabarkantha district of Gujarat.
