Atleast 50 killed, 100 burnt in oil tanker road crash in DR Congo


Kinshasa, Oct 6: At least 50 people were killed and 100 suffered burns after an oil tanker collided with a vehicle in the west of the Dominican Republic of the Congo on Saturday.  

The accident took place on a highway linking the capital Kinshasa to the country’s sole port at Matadi on the Atlantic Ocean.

Deputy Governor of Kongo Central province Atou Matabuana said ” We are mourning the death of about 50 people. There are also about 100 people who received second-degree burns”.
