Assembly Polls: Congress likely to ally with Samajwadi Party in Madhya Pradesh


Bhopal, Oct 4: The Congress may go for an alliance with the Samajwadi Party for the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. 

On being asked about a possible alliance with Samajwadi Party, Madhya Pradesh Congress Chief Kamal Nath today said that ” I had spoken to Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav a few days ago, we are in talks with them”.

While speaking about the Bahujan Samaj Party, he stated ” the list of seats which BSP had given us where they had no chance of winning and the seats which they could have won they had not included in the list”.

Yesterday, BSP Chief Mayawati had anounced that her party will contest on its own in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan assembly polls.
