Asiad 2018: PV Sindhu beats Akane Yamaguchi, eye for gold in final

Jakarta, Aug 27: Indian badminton star PV Sindhu on Monday defeated Akane Yamaguchi of Japan to enter into badminton Singles Final at the Asian Games 2018.

The shuttler won the deciding game with a score of 21-10 and has created a history by becoming the first Indian to seal a spot into the finals in the Asian Games, either male or female.

Sindhu will now face top seed Tai Tzu Ying in the final tomorrow.

Earlier in a day, Saina Nehwal clinched Bronze after the Indian player lost 17-21, 14-21 to World No.1 Tai Tzu Ying of Taiwan.
