New Delhi, May 20: A day after the Lok Sabha Elections concluded, fuel prices witnessed a hike in prices.
Petrol prices increased about 8-10 paise, while diesel climbed up 15-16 paise across the major cities on Monday.
In Delhi, petrol prices increased to Rs 71.12 a litre as against Rs 71.03 on Sunday and diesel rose to Rs 66.11 per litre as compared to Rs 65.96 on Sunday, according to Indian Oil Corporation data.
People in Mumbai petrol will cost Rs 76.73 for a litre after a 9 paise hike over Sunday’s price. A litre of diesel priced Rs 69.27, 16 paise costlier.\
The feul prices changes daily and are effected at 6 am.
