Mumbai, Oct 11: Thousands of fans gathered at Big B’s Juhu mansion to wish him on his birthday as he turns 74.
On his recent interview at his mansion, he told the media … ‘it’s time to show solidarity towards our jawans & armed forces who are sacrificing their lives so that you and I can be safe”
Son of a well-known poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan, he completed his education from Uttar Pradesh and moved to Bombay to find his career as a film star. But unfortunately, he got rejected by film-makers as his look was not good enough for acting.
He married Jaya Bhaduri, and they have two children, Shweta and Abhishek. Shweta is married, lives a non-filmy life and has two children.
Amitabh Bachchan has gone from the wreck to a superstar. He has now touched the height of Bollywood and has become the biggest megastar. Some of his hit movies like, Zanjeer, Deewaar, sholay, Trishul and Shakti, Chupke Chupke, Kabhi Kabhie and Silsila for sure reminds us of our parents who grew up watching Big B’s movies.
For the Bollywood industry, he represents success, inspiration, modesty, family values, traditions, good manners, learning and most crucially perhaps, a celebrity who doesn’t give ‘celebrity’ a bad name. Amitabh knows he is best at what he does.
On his birthday, he said he hopes to learn to play new instruments and learn new languages.
“I can’t play any instruments, but we do have different instruments at our place and I want to learn to play different instruments. I want to learn different languages. I will take out time for that,” said the actor, whose energy and passion towards his craft leave many of his juniors in the industry in awe.
Asked about how he was planning to spend the day, he said: “I will be spending my day with my family.”
PM Modi Tweeted : “Dear SrBachchan (Amitabh Bachchan), wishing you a very happy birthday. Your versatility and humility have many admirers. Praying for your long and healthy life” .
