A new follower is added into Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s account on Twitter and that is none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi, probably the most high profile follower in his Twitter account.
Delhi CM Kejriwal, usually at odds with the PM, today thanked Modi on Twitter and wished Happy Holi, the Aam Aadmi Party chief also added that he hoped for better Centre-Delhi cooperation in the future.
Earlier, Delhi CM has attacked PM Modi on Twitter over various issues and had even called him a coward and psychopath after CBI raided Kejriwal’s principle secretary Rajinder Kumar’s office.
Delhi government and Centre have been at loggerheads since Kejriwal acquired the position, after humbling BJP in the assembly elections. Since then, Kejriwal has often accused Centre and Delhi LG Najeeb Jung of non-cooperation in day-to-day work, a charge promptly rejected by them.
PM Modi also started following Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, who replied to his tweet expressing his thanks. The message was retweeted by Kejriwal.
After Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Narendra Modi is the second most followed Indian on Twitter having around 18.8 million followers. However Kejriwal is the second most followed politician in India with an impressive follower count of 7.28 million. Now it will be interesting to see whether the controversies between centre politics and Capital led to some positive changes with Twitter or not.
