Militant killed in a gunfight in south Kashmir


New Delhi, Nov 7: In a tussle between security forces and militants on Monday two army soldiers were injured and a militant was killed in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The gunfight is, reportedly, ongoing and actually started after midnight between Indian Army and hidden militants in which in Wangam village of Shopian district.

Police in Srinagar said that “An army soldier was injured in an encounter between the militants and troops of 62 Rashtriya Rifles and state police in Wangam village of Shopian district.”

“The encounter is still on,” police added.
