Birlanagar, May 21: A massive fire broke out in 4 coaches of Andhra Pradesh Express near Birlanagar station in Gwalior on Monday.

The fire tenders, which were rushed immediately to the spot, have been able to douse the fire.
“Train no. 22416, New Delhi – Visakhapattanam express, fire in B-7 coach reported at Birla Nagar Station near Gwalior, fire spread in B-6 and B-5 coach also.,” an official statement said. The statement confirmed that all passengers were evacuated in the affected coaches and the fire was doused with the help of three fire brigade units. No injuries reported, the statement said.
The train 22416 Delhi to Vishakhapatnam AP AC Express, which started from Nizamuddin station this morning, was halted two kilometres before Gwalior due to fire. The sources on the ground have confirmed that the train will soon be dispatched to its destination as the burning coaches have been detached from the train.
