New Delhi, Jan 12: Amid major controversy sparked over three Facebook videos posted by BSP jawan in which he revealed the poor condition of food provided to them, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable narrated about discrimination in a youtube video.
Through the video, the constable Jeet Singh sent a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi informing about the discrimination compared to the Army and awful pay.
He also expressed that teachers in government school are paid more and complained about getting no holidays or benefits.
Singh also highlighted the huge gap between the facilities provided for army and CRPF. He said that Army has a pension and we (CRPF) jawans don’t have anything. “20 years later, when I leave the service, then what?” he added.
He goes on: “We have no ex-servicemen quota, no canteen service, no medical benefits…Duty sabse zyaada hamaari (our duty is most taxing).”
Commenting on the two videos, Minister of State For Home Kiren Rijiju said: “We have already started the process of evaluating the situation, everything is being checked, based on the report there are some suggestions, we are implementing those.”
