Amarinder Singh files nomination from Patiala, says Will defeat J.J. Singh


Jan 17: Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh on Tuesday filed nomination papers from Patiala constituency for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.

He filed the papers while his wife escorted him as she is the current Patiala MLA Preneet Kaur. Before filing the papers, Amarinder visited at the gurdwara and temple.

After filing the papers, he embarked on a roadshow through his home town.

Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP candidate J.J. Singh also filed nomination from Patiala and he will contest against Captain Amarinder Singh in the upcoming Punjab polls on 4th February.

Reacting to the same, Amarinder Singh said that “He (J.J. Singh) was a year junior to me and I know, he was a lacklustre and an average general.”

He also said that he doesn’t have any serious challenge from JJ Singh.

Hitting out on Amarinder Singh, J.J. Singh said that “Gumshuda Captain Amarinder Singh has no authority to judge me. I’ve been decorated in every rank. I think he has no idea, he should read my autobiography. And then he will know what I am talking about.”
