All India Mahila Congress demands resignation of Haryana CM over horrifying rape cases

New Delhi, Jan 20: In the wake of  horrifying rape cases reported from different parts of Haryana, All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) on Saturday demanded resignation of Chief Minister ML Khattar. 

While addressing a presser at AICC headquarters here on the deteriorating law and order in state, AIMC leaders said ” We want to ask Khattar what’s happening to the 12 FastTrack courts established by Haryana congress in 2013?

We want Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak about women’s safety in his Man ki baat tomorrow and tell what his government is doing morally and practically to protect women and children.

Haryana has witnessed a spate of crimes against women and minor girls, with cases of sexual voilence from Jind, Panipat, Faridabad, Hisar, Fatehabad and other districts in the last few days.

In past one week, the tally has been reached to 8 rape cases.

The latest incident is of a 20-year-old married woman who was allegedly gang-raped by two men at a village in Fatehabad district.
