Alex Parrish is set to back with ‘Quantico’ season 3

Mumbai, May 16: Actress Priyanka Chopra, who has wind up the second season of “Quantico”, expresses excitement for the upcoming third season of the American drama series.


The actress also thanked her fans and followers for all the love and support.


Priyanka plays the character of Alex Parrish in the second season of “Quantico”. The series saw Alex and her training in the CIA after leaving the FBI at the end of the first season of the series.

The show was created by Joshua Safran, who is also the executive producer along with Mark Gordon.

On the silver screen, Priyanka will also be seen in the upcoming Hollywood film “Baywatch” alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.

She will play a negative character named Victoria Leeds in “Baywatch”, which has been adapted from the 1990’s popular TV series of the same name.

Won’t discuss this issue, feel disgusted; says Big B on Kathua rape

Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor was present at the song launch of his upcoming film 102 Not Out.

New Delhi, April 19: Few days after many Bollywood celebrities took to the streets to protest the Kathua and Unnao rape case, a hurt Amitabh Bachchan asked media not to rake up the issue and he feels “disgusted” even talking about it.

The 75-year-old actor — who is the face of the government’s “Beti Bachao-Beti Padao” campaign — was asked about the two rapes that have outraged the country.

“Mujhe uss vishay par charcha karne mein ghinn aati hai. So uss vishay ko uchhalo mat (I feel disgusted even talking about it. So, don’t rake up this issue). It’s terrible to even talk about it,” he told reporters.

Big B was speaking at the song launch of his upcoming film 102 Not Out.

On January 17, an eight-year-old girl was allegedly abducted, drugged, raped, tortured and killed Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district.

Earlier, joining the growing outrage, celebrities like Sonam Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kalki Koechlin, Richa Chadha and many others posted messages on their social media demanding justice for the victim.

Rishi Kapoor feels proud to work with Big B for 44 years

Mumbai, April 19: Veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan will reunite on the big screen after 27 years, but the former doesn’t “feel the gap”.

Talking about his experience of working with Amitabh in the forthcoming film “102 Not Out”, Rishi told the media here on Thursday: “We worked in this film after 27 years but from the time we went on the set, we started rehearsing. We did not feel the gap between these years.”

“I feel proud to say that I have been working with him for the last 44 years. Our first film was ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ (1976) and the last time we worked together was in ‘Ajooba’ (1991).”

Together, they have delivered celebrated films like “Naseeb”, “Kabhi Kabhie”, “Amar Akbar Anthony” and “Coolie”.

Amitabh appreciates all his “102 Not Out” co-stars, including Jimit Trivedi.

“I believe if you are appreciating my performance, it is due to my co-artistes. If they don’t perform well enough for your reaction, then your reaction would go wrong,” said the megastar.

“So I would like to compliment Rishiji and Jimit for this film. Whenever you see (a movie), if you like it or don’t like it, it depends on their performance too. Our performances are the reflection of their performances,” he added.

The film’s team gathered here to promote its song “Badumbaaa”, which is composed and sung by Amitabh.

Not many films are made on senior citizens. Asked why there isn’t much representation of senior citizens in films, Amitabh, 75, said: “Senior citizens are very respectable people of our society. If they are not there, we are not there. Whenever we try to make a film on them, we treat them with dignity. I hope that through this film, we will be able to convey the message to our audience.”

Adding to that, Rishi said: “He (Amitabh) did films like ‘Piku’ and ‘Pink’. Yes, there are not many films made on senior citizens but there are not many Bachchans around, right?”

“102 Not Out”, directed by Umesh Shukla, will release on May 4.

Rakesh Roshan to get lifetime achievement honour at Dadasaheb Phalke awards

Mumbai, April 19: Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan will be felicitated with a Lifetime Achievement honour at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Awards for his contribution as a producer, director, screenwriter, editor and actor in Hindi films.

Parul Sud, Vice President of Glocal Thinkers, the event’s organisers said: “It’s an honour to present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Rakesh Roshan for his prodigious work to film industry. His recently produced movie ‘Kaabil’ is such an inspiration to the youth.”

He said the DadaSaheb Trust was the only award property which also celebrated and recognised technicians behind the scenes.

Ashfaque Khopekar, President of Dadasaheb Phalke Film foundation Awards, said: “We are planning to conduct a seminar and other social activities to promote and support Indian film culture.

“I am trying to provide more benefits like pension and medical facilities to our technicians, workers and artistes.”

The awards ceremony will take place on April 29 at Chitrakoot Ground here.

As an actor, he was mostly known for his supporting roles in big-budget films starring Sanjeev Kumar and Rajesh Khanna in the lead role. Later, he achieved fame for directing films with titles beginning with the letter “K” since 1987.

As a filmmaker, his most notable work includes- Khudgarz (1987), Khoon Bhari Maang (1988), Kishen Kanhaiya (1990), Karan Arjun (1995), Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000), Mil Gaya (2003) and the superhero Krrish film series (2006—2013). Roshan won the Filmfare Award for Best Director for directing the films; Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Koi Mil Gaya.
