Mumbai, Jan 22: “Good News”, which will reunite Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar on the big screen after four years, will now hit the screens on September 6, filmmaker Karan Johar announced on Monday.
The film was earlier scheduled to release on July 19, however, the film has now been pushed further to September.
“‘Good News’ releases on September 6, 2019,” Karan tweeted.
He had teased Twitter users about the announcement an hour before making it.
“You may have to wait for some #GoodNews! Der aaye durust aaye,” he wrote.
Kareena and Akashay have previously worked in films such as “Ajnabee”, “Kambakkht Ishq”, “Tashan”, “Aitraaz” and “Bewafaa”.
“Good News” also stars actors Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles.
Kareena has also shared the screen with Diljit in “Udtaa Punjab”.
“Good News” is laugh riot, family drama in which Akshay and Kareena are playing a married couple and trying for a baby.
While Diljit and Kiara are essaying the role of a Punjabi married couple trying to get pregnant as well.
‘Good News’ is directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions.
