Uttar Pradesh, Sep 17, 2016: In a bid to resolve the furious feud within the Yadav family, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday night announced that his Uncle Shivpal Yadav will be given back his portfolios and Gayatri Prajapati will be reinducted as Cabinet minister, issues which had triggered an all-out war.

The decisions were made after the party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav asserted that “There can be no division in the party, till I am there.” The signs of patch up came after Mulayam held discussions with brother Shivpal and son Akhilesh.

Akhilesh tweeted about his uncle who was stripped of his key ministries only two days back by the Chief Minister, triggering all-out war during which Akhilesh was removed as party’s state unit chief that “Portfolios will be given back to Mr. Shivpal Singh Yadav.”

In another tweet, the CM said, “Gayatri Prajapati will be inducted in the cabinet.”

Shivpal had on Thursday resigned from the Akhilesh Yadav cabinet and from all the party posts he holds. However, UP chief minister Akhilesh has refused to accept the resignation.

On the contrary, SP leader Shivpal today said that he will not challenge UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s decision to strip him of all key portfolios in the state cabinet.

Mulayam Singh Yadav was engaged in fire-fighting on Thursday night, his close aide said as the leader tried to thrash out an amicable solution to the biggest crisis of his personal life and political career.

A power struggle has broken out in Uttar Pradesh between Akhilesh Yadav and former minister Shivpal Singh Yadav earlier this week, and now it has spun out of control.

However, Shivpal on Friday told his supporters that he will support Netaji in any condition, and they should not indulge in any activity that damages the party image.
