New Delhi, Sep 25: The Patiala House Court on Tuesday adjourned hearing for October 8 on Enforcement Directorate plea seeking cancellation of interim protection to Karti Chidambaram in connection with Aircel-Maxis case.
Earlier, the Court had adjourned the hearing till September 25 i.e. today.
Last week, the Supreme Court allowed Karti to travel abroad from September 20- 30.
Karti is under the CBI and the ED scanner for his alleged involvement in the Aircel-Maxis case.
The ED is probing the Aircel-Maxis deal under the PMLA after taking cognisance of a 2011 Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) complaint in the case.
The agencies are investigating how Karti Chidambaram allegedly managed to get a clearance from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) in the Aircel-Maxis deal when his father P Chidambaram was the Union Finance Minister in 2006.
Last year in September, the Enforcement Directorate had attached Rs 1.16 crore worth of assets of Karti Chidambaram.
