New Delhi, July 23: The Delhi High Court on Monday granted interim protection from arrest to the in-laws of an air hostess who allegedly committed suicide in Panchsheel Park.

The development comes after, the Saket court on July 20, rejected the anticipatory bail plea filed by the parents of Mayank Singhvi, the husband of the air hostess.

Singhvi was held on July 16 and sent to a 14-day judicial custody.

Justice Mukta Gupta granted interim protection to Mayank Singhvi’s parents R.S. Singhvi and his wife Sushma Singhvi till the next date of hearing i.e August 2.

The court also directed the police to file a status report on the plea of the Singhvi couple seeking anticipatory bail.

The deceased’s kin has alleged that it was a case of murder even as cops registered a suicide case on July 15.

The 39-year-old had fallen off the terrace of her home in Hauz Khas’s Panchsheel Park on July 13.
