Goa, Jan 1: Ailing Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar accompanied by a team of medical professionals and other officials on Tuesday visited the State Secretariat for the first time in months.
The 63-year-old Chief Minister, wearing a tube in his nose was helped up the stairs of the Secretariat by his aides, in the presence of Speaker Pramod Sawant and other BJP leaders.
He was welcomed by ministers, BJP workers and leaders.
This is Parrikar’s second public appearance in the last few months, since his visit to an under-construction bridge near Panaji last month, but his first visit to the state secretariat, since his return from Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in October 2018.
Parrikar is being treated since February last year for a pancreatic cancer ailment and has been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, New York and Delhi.
