New Delhi, July 13: Ahead of the Parliament Monsoon session, Opposition parties to hold a meeting on July 16.
During the meeting, parties are likely to discuss strategy on working of the monsoon session.
The proceedings will commence from July 18 to August 10 for 18 days.
While Congress is slated to corner the Modi government on the rising fuel prices.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi had claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ignored the interests of farmers but has helped a small group of industrialists by waiving loans amounting to nearly Rs 2.5 lakh crore.
On the other hand, the Centre plans to pass the Constitution (123rd) Amendment Bill, 2017, in the monsoon session of Parliament, which seeks to accord constitutional status to the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC).
“Other important Bills including the Triple Talaq bill, Transgender Bill, among others will be brought in the Parliament for passing them,” Kumar said adding that the government expects constructive cooperation from all political parties for a productive session.
