Suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Sandeep Kumar, who was sacked from party for being entangled in “unobjectionable” recorded CD, surrendered before the Deputy Commissioner of Police office in Rohini on Saturday evening.
Earlier today, the woman seen in the video had registered a complaint against Kumar, alleging that she had been given a drink laced with drugs by the minister. The Delhi Police has booked Kumar under rape charges (Section 376) while the woman has been taken for a medical examination for investigation.
AAP had also suspended Sandeep Kumar from primary membership of the party. The suspension came nearly four days after the decision to remove the minister was taken at a high-level meeting attended by top AAP leaders.
In the “objectionable” CD that emanted, he was shown in a compromising position with the woman.
However, while making his stand clear Kumar said that he was targetted for being a “Dalit” and alleged there was a “conspiracy” behind the alleged sex tape to frame him.
