After being unheard in Rajya Sabha, Sachin Tendulkar delivers speech on social media


New Delhi, Dec 22: A day after failing to deliver his maiden speech in Rajya Sabha, Cricket superstar Sachin Tendulkar took social media to speak his heart out on the contemporary environment of sports in India.

Sachin uploaded a video on social media saying ” It is my endeavour to transform India from being a sport loving nation to a sport playing nation. I urge you all to participate in this effort and help make my dream, our dream. Always remember, dreams do come true! Jai Hind”.

In 15 minutes video, Sachin talked about the importance of sports in country by citing examples of Dipa Karmakar, Bhaichung Bhutia, Mary Kom and Mirabai Chanu.

The cricket legend spoke about what brought him to opt for sports. He said “there were few thing that I wanted to speak about yesterday (in the parliament) and I will try to do the same now. I often wondered what brought me here. Little did I know that those baby steps in cricket will lead me to lifetime of memories. I always loved playing sports and cricket was my life”.
