Adityanath to contest MLC bypoll in Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi, Aug 30: The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Wednesday announced that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and two Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma will contest the upcoming bypolls in the state Legislative Council.

The BJP asserted  that Adityanath along with his four cabinet ministers including  Swantatra Dev Singh and Mohsin Raza will fight the civic polls.

Like former chief ministers Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati, Adityanath will also become a member of the state Legislative Council.

Adityanath, who took oath as Chief Minister of  Uttar Pradesh on March 19, is a member of the Lok Sabha from Gorakhpur.
