New Delhi, October 4, 2016: The war between BCCI and Lodha committee continues as BCCI threats to call off the ongoing series between India and New Zealand but today Justice RM Lodha led panel clarifies that they didn’t freeze the accounts of the Board and it will carry on with its routine expenses.
The Supreme Court appoints Lodha Pannel which directs the banks of the expenses of BCCI. Earlier, Lodha committee has taken a decision to hold the disbursement on the ongoing series on India and New Zealand decision.
Lodha committee directed banks that not to disburse “large” funds to the state associations, a decision taken by the Board at its Special General Meeting on September 30.
Earlier, Lodha Committee has only issued two specific payments from the board to its state associations to be stopped. BCCI official saying the board would have to cancel the remainder of the New Zealand series because its bank accounts had been frozen by a directive from the Lodha Committee.
New Zealand Cricket, however, had not received any communication from the BCCI regarding the cancellation of the remaining fixtures, and the team was said to be preparing for the third Test in Indore as planned. They are scheduled to travel from Kolkata to Indore on Wednesday.
