New Delhi, May 18 : The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) on Thursday said it has ordered inspection of Delhi ‘s Public Works Department (PWD) project as part of an investigation into an alleged Rs 10 crore scam related to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s deceased brother-in-law, Surendra Bansal.
“We have directed the PWD for site inspection with a team of experts and sought their opinion in connection with a project involving Kejriwal’s deceased brother-in-law Surender Kumar Bansal in the alleged Rs 10 crore scam,” ACB Chief Mukesh Kumar Meena told news agency IANS.
The officer said that ACB was conducting site inspection for gathering evidences at different places.
The ACB move follows the three cases filed against Arvind Kejriwal’s brother-in-law and other senior PWD officers in connection with alleged corruption charges.
Bansal has been accused of getting bills cleared from the PWD, in the name of different companies by showing fake documents.
However , The complaint doesn’t include Arvind Kejriwal name but the complainant has accused him for helping Surendra Bansal, who reportedly dead on May 7.
