Crown Prince was invited early this year and he accepting the invitation has strong political significance. UAE is a lynch-pin of the economic, defense and strategic strands of the Indian outreach.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The acceptance of the invitation by the crown prince cites an important message at the time of Indo-Pak tension. The UAE is the old strategic allies of Pakistan.
However, UAE’s relations with Pakistan undergone a qualitative change. In recent years, UAE has entered into a closer relationship with India on security and counter-terrorism.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Mohammed bin Zayed for accepting the request.
