Abducted Lucknow Jeweller in custody of Nepal police: Family writes to PM Modi

“Nepal Police abducts an innocent Indian citizen from Lucknow and takes him to Nepal. Does Indian govt not feel responsible that one of its citizens has been taken away to another country,” Vikas Soni, son of abducted Lucknow jeweller, said.

Lucknow, Oct 6 : Vikas Soni,son of Lucknow jeweller Kishorilal Soni who was abducted on Sept 28  and has been placed under police custody in Nepal has written a letter  to PM Narendra Modi and questioned him about the government’s responsibility of providing security to every Indian citizen.

“Nepal Police abducts an innocent Indian citizen from Lucknow and takes him to Nepal. Does Indian govt not feel responsible that one of its citizens has been taken away to another country,” he said.

A weird and a shocking case has come to light of a 65-year-old jeweller who was kidnapped in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow on September 28 and the next day the victim’s family received a call from Nepal stating that he was being placed under police custody.

Jeweller Kishorilal Soni was abducted from Lucknow on September 28 while he was returning from his shop.

Wife of 65-yr-old Lucknow jeweller Kishorilal Soni who was abducted on 28th September while he was returning from his shop, says, “A thorough investigation should be conducted and my husband should be brought back to India respectfully. We don’t trust Nepal police.”

A case of Kidnapping under section 364 of IPC (Kidnapping or abducting in order to murder) has been registered at the Madiyava police station here.He is currently in police custody in Nepal in connection with a case of theft dating back to 2004.

Vikas Soni, the son of the abducted Jeweller said, “UP police gave us a number on which a Nepal police personnel made me speak to my father. My father said that he was abducted from near his shop but did not know his current location”.

His father’s statement was verified with CCTV footage which proved he was abducted : Watch:The entire episode of kidnapping was caught on a CCTV camera. In the footage it can be seen , how two men shoved Soni inside a car, while one another man, who arrived at the crime spot moments later flees away taking his scooter.

 

“UP Police told us that my father is being held for questioning in Nepalgunj in connection with an old theft and murder casedating back to 2004. They said they won’t be able to help us further as the matter was now with Nepal police, ” Vikas Soni, son of Lucknow jeweller said.

Vikas Soni has also  written  a letter  to PM Narendra Modi,UP CM Yogi Adityanath,HM Rajnath Singh and EAM Sushma Swaraj urging for an impartial probe by higher officials in the case.
