Abandoned Bag found in JNU with arms and ammunition

Amid the unrest in JNU after Najeeb Ahmed disappearance, a bag was discovered abandoned in the campus on Sunday night which consisted of arms and ammunition.

The guards found the bag in the area near the north gate of JNU and found a pistol and seven cartridges when they opened the bag. The pistol is country-made. The police were informed about the same and a case was registered under the Arms Act.

Due to all the chaos, Delhi Police has launched a massive manhunt to trace Najeeb Ahmed, whose disappearance has become a big political issue. President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday promised to direct the government to fasten the process of finding Najeeb.
