Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government will present its second Budget today in Assembly and Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, who also hold finance portfolio, will table the Delhi Budget.
Delhi Budget is likely to focus on education, health and transport sectors. As per sources, Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) government is likey to standardise VAT on garments and shoes as there are varying taxes on some items which often cause confusion and affect compliance.
Ahead of the Delhi Budget, CM Arvind Kejriwal expressed his best wishes to his deputy:
My best wishes to Manish Sisodia for the budget today. I am sure the budget will fulfil the expectations of Aam Admi

Considering the fact that the government had allocated Rs 9,836 crore for the education sector out of which Rs 4,570 crore was given under the plan outlay, which was an increase of around 106 per cent in its last Budget, education sector is expected to get major allocation.
The AAP government may set aside Rs 50 crore for the Aam Aadmi Canteens, modelled after Tamil Nadu’s highly-subsidised Amma canteens, to provide nutritious food to migrant workers in the national capital. Since the state government is still waiting for Centre’s nod for 14 Bills passed by the Delhi Assembly, it won’t bring any new Bill.
